THE CROSS OF CALVARY

Of Calvary the Cross I will cherish

Towards the hour of my complete loss It emerged

Armed only but my sins to abolish

The Cross my old life purged

Who in my helplessness offered to help?

To a sinner Who said ‘save you I have come’?

My perishing soul Who willingly delivered?

Save Him Who said ‘It is finished’

By Whose blood my sins’ been washed?

With Whose blood my soul’s been cleansed?

Through Whose life my debts been paid?

Except,the blood of the Lamb did

In my distress when emersed

The time forced I to sail the sea of sorrow

When all upside down turn

Shall my eyes be fixed on this Cross

The Cross of Calvary
